MIRPURKHAS: Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) has established a Pathology Department which would replace the city’s only Liver Transplant Centre (LTC). Established in 2011 with the investment of Rs 200 million, the Liver Transplant Centre has been failed to fulfill its purpose due to financial constraints and a shortage of experts. Now, State Minister Dr Fazal Chaudhy inaugurated the Pathology Department on Friday. The administrator stated a new digital lab centre of the Pathology Department has been established so that patients could easily collect their samples and reports. He said that six counters have been established in the centre for male and female patients. He said that the groundbreaking ceremony of the Out Patient Department (OPD) will take place soon.
