PAKISTAN: Foreign Office Spokesman Muhammad Faisal on Sunday said that Pakistan has developed a remote sensing satellite which will be launched next month (July).

“PakTES-1A – an indigenously developed 285 kg remote sensing satellite of Pakistan. It will be launched at 610 km sun-synchronous orbit in July 2018.”
The China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology (CALVT) and Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Commission (SUPARCO) operated jointly for this mega project.
Before this, Beijing had already announced that it would launch two remote sensing satellites for Pakistan.
The purpose of satellite will be for geo-monitoring and taking images from the orbit. Furthermore, SUPARCO is working on three satellites in the collaboration with three universities of China.
Pakistan had already created a milestone in space technology in March by securing a geostationary orbital slot in March.
The SUPARCO had earlier inked the deal with China Great Wall Industry Cooperation (CGWIC) to attain communication satellite PakSat Multi Satellite (PakSat-MM1).
