Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shehbaz, while reacting to the suspension of sentences of former premier Nawaz, his daughter Maryam and Cap (r) Safdar, Wednesday said that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was unable to answer the questions.
“Truth remains truth…justice is done by the Almighty Allah,” he said while speaking to the media after the Islamabad High Court (IHC) ruling that suspended the sentences of Sharifs in the Avenfield properties reference.
“I wish this day would have come sooner and Mian Nawaz Sharif would have been able to spend some time with his wife ailing wife and would have gotten a chance to take care of her in her final days.”
He added, “It was written in the accountability court verdict that Nawaz had not been involved in corruption.” The opposition leader added that Nawaz would be among them soon.
“We are clean and we will face the cases courageously.”
Hamza further said that it had been proven that the accountability court’s verdict against former premier Nawaz Sharif, his daughter and son-in-law was weak.
