ISLAMABAD: Senate Chairman Mian Raza Rabbani did not allow an adjournment motion moved by Senator Muhammad Ateeq Shaikh on Monday to discuss the report of the National Commission on Human Rights (NCHR) regarding more than 1300 deaths of infants and children in Thar during the last 30 months.
The Chairman said that the issue pertained to the provincial government of Sindh. He advised the Senator to avail another remedy in order to debate the issue in the House.
Meanwhile, Senator Taj Haider presented a report to the committee on behalf of Chairman Standing Committee on Railways Sardar Fateh Muhammad Hassani on demands of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) government in the House.
